Our technical team conducted a site survey to gain an understanding of the challenge Lisa was facing. Lisa wanted to reduce her energy bills and switch to solar energy but she was unclear as to what system would be feasible with her property.
During the site survey it was observed that the roof of Lisa’s garage was south facing, which was an ideal location for solar panels. Our team calculated the maximum system size that could be installed on this space. We recommended the installation of a 4.74kw solar PV system.
This system consisted of:
The installation of this project took a total of two working days.
Lisa appointed North Cork Electrical as contractors on the SEAI grant application. We managed the grant application process and Lisa availed of a grant total of €3,000.00 towards the installation. In addition, we will process the grant paperwork once we are nominated the contractors for the project.
The installation of the full system will generate a potential yield of Yield – 4,408.79kWh per year. Lisa can now generate her own electricity while also storing the electricity to use by night. Lisa heats the hot water using the hot water diverter.
